Hans Peter Dejgaard (English)
Mr. Hans Peter Dejgaard is co-founder of INKA Consult. He is an engineer from the Technical University of Denmark, and has a longstanding record as consultant on aid and cooperation with developing countries.
A long range of assignments have been completed since 1993 for Danida, SIDA, UNDP, the EU Commission and international NGOs, covering Central America, Bolivia and various countries in Africa and Asia. Services include consultancy related to institution-building and organisational capacity in the fields of environment, human rights & democracy, municipal government, civil society, indigenous peoples, and education.
Mr. Dejgaard is an experienced team leader in the formulation of strategies, sector programme support, reviews and evaluations. In addition to his native Danish language, he has command of English and Spanish.
Since the mid-1980s, Mr. Dejgaard has been highly committed to the Danish NGO community, for instance within the major Danish development NGO, Ibis, first as regional representative in Central America, later as chairman of the board. In recent years, he has served as an advisor to Sustainability Watch, a network of civil-society organisations in 18 countries in Latin America, Africa and Asia, which have joined forces to promote sustainable development.
Mr. Dejgaard has experience of a plethora of tools and methods, and is characterised by a profound commitment, critical eye, sense of humour and responsibility. He is used to serving as a facilitator and the last 10 years as teacher for Danida Fellowship Centre.
